Our Mission
Is to educate citizens and to help them apply practical, research-based knowledge to critical issues facing individuals, families, communities, the state and the world. The Baltimore City Extension Office has served the city since 1948. Local residents are offered research-based expertise and technology via community-based educational workshops, classes, demonstrations, fairs and exhibits. There are also 4-H Clubs, accurate publications, as well as the availability of consumer call-ins and newspaper columns. The Extension staff is committed to "educating people to help themselves" in the following program areas. Our programs include Urban Horticulture, 4-H Youth Develoment, Nutrition Education and Financial Management.
